Walking and Sailing in Greece
Below are the answers to our most common questions, if you need more info please contact us.
How do I get to Lefkada?
The closest airport is Preveza (PVK), there are daily flights from many UK and European airports.
We will arrange your transfer from the airport to the catamaran (approx 40 to 50 mins).
Passports & Visas.
You must be in possession of a full passport valid for at least 3 months beyond your date of departure.
UK and EU Nationals do not require any visas.
The new ETIAS system is being introduced but no timescales are confirmed yet (then UK nationals will require a visa).
Other countries will need to check requirements, Greece is within the Schengen Area.
Can we book for just 1 or 2 people?
Yes, you can book per cabin (1 or 2 people), all cabins are en-suite.
Our maximum group size is 6-people sharing 3 double cabins.
Can we book the entire Catamaran?
Yes, our maximum group size is 6-people sharing 3 double cabins.
Book the entire catamaran for 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 people.
How do we Book?
Contact us or complete the booking form.
Let us know how many people and how many cabins you require.
We will confirm availability and hold the date/s while you arrange flights etc.
Once your flights are sorted we will send booking information.
We require a 30% deposit when booking and final payment 4-weeks before you arrive.
What's included in the price?
Our price includes all costs, there are no hidden charges.
Skipper & Crew.
Boat Fuel.
Watersports (Kayaks, SUP, Snorkelling gear).
Breakfast.
Bottled water is freely available all day.
VAT & Local taxes.
What do the breakfasts consist of?
We include a daily breakfast which includes cereals, muesli, Greek yoghurt, fruit, local honey, bread, meats and cheeses served with orange juice & tea or coffee.
Please advise if you have any special diet requirements before arriving.
Lunches, Dinners and Drinks?
Daytime meals can be either on the catamaran or at one of the beach tavernas.
Dinner can be enjoyed at the local tavernas or at one of the restaurants.
Do you have to be fit to join this holiday?
A general level of fitness is required for the holiday.
Our walking trails range between easy and moderate.
You can walk as much or as little as you want each day.
What if one of us doesn't want to walk each day or not at all?
If anyone doesn't want to walk or walk everyday that is no problem.
You are free to chill on the catamaran, swim, sunbathe or explore the beach and local villages.
Everyone is free to walk as much or as little as they want.
What should I bring?
Due to space on the catamaran, bring easy to stow luggage (e.g. soft foldable bags).
You will need shorts, t-shirts, trousers, shirts, swimming costumes and a water-proof jacket is also a good idea.
Shoes, sandals, sunglasses, sweatshirt or sweaters are advisable for the evenings.
A good pair of trainers and a hat / cap is recommended for the walking trails.
A small bag or rucksack to take on the walking trails to carry water etc.
You will also require personal items such as any suntan-lotion, medication, shampoo, toothpaste etc.
We do provide room and beach towels, so no need to bring towels with you.
What medical precautions should I take?
Medical facilities in Greece are generally very good.
Travel insurance is recommended.
If you are from the UK it is advisable to bring your GHIC card with you.
If you are from Europe it is advisable to bring your EHIC card with you.
What are the general weather conditions?
May
The average temperature in May is 19°C.
Night temperatures can drop to 11°C and Day temperatures can reach 29°C.
The sea temperature is around 19°C.
June
The average temperature in June is 23°C.
Night temperatures can drop to 15°C and Day temperatures can reach 33°C.
The sea temperature is around 23°C.
July and August
There are no packages, it is too hot for walking holidays.
September
The average temperature in September is 23°C.
Night temperatures can drop to 15°C and Day temperatures can reach 31°C.
The sea temperature is around 25°C.
October
The average temperature in October is 20°C.
Night temperatures can drop to 11°C and Day temperatures can reach 28°C.
The sea temperature is around 23°C.
Are tips required?
Tipping is optional however normally tips are 10% at tavernas, bars and restaurants etc.
Currency & Changing Money?
Restaurants, bars and shops in Greece accept Debit Card, Credit Cards and Cash (Euro).
It is advisable to carry some cash (Euros) as sometimes debit / credit cards can not be processed.
There are many ATM's for cash withdrawals, there are very limited places for cash currency exchange.
What time zone is Greece in?
Greece time-zone : EET + 2 hours.
Greece time-zone : GMT + 2 hours.
Greece is always 2-hours ahead of the UK.
